Valentine's Day
I took a special photo for Valentine's Day lately. I was working on the theme week of Come To Life 2013 for last sunday. Check it out, there I used another one of the same set.
Here is to all the Valentine's around the world.
Schaut mal vorbei.

Harrison in the Snow
I don't know if you follow Come To Life 2013 - but I wish you did.
We present our project at least on Sundays, every week of this year. But we also do all these inbetween posts that you should check out.
Last sunday, Harrison was struggeling through some pretty deep snow - happy about his new leather jacket.
Who is Harrison? What's about his leather jacket? What snow? If you ask any of these questions, you are not up to date. So go, check out the project! Now! I mean it, no joke.
But if you can answer all these questions, you may still not know anything about his hike through the snow, or do you?
Here is one more photo, yet, of that walk - brought to you by Come To Life 2013!
Oh, and tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., European Central Time, we go on with another weekly post of all 7 characters.

Harrison's journey
Harrison was on his way to find some important envelope. Did you follow his trip up to here?
Check out the details on Come To Life 2013!
Habt Ihr bis hier her seinen Weg verfolgt? Guckt Euch die Details hier an: Come To Life 2013!
When he finally found the envelope high up on the cliff side he was trapped and could not get back down.
Here is the documentation of his way higher up.
He finally came to the top and got on his way home. Check it out here:

2 years of blogging
2 years of blogging... where did it get me?
I have roughly 37,000 views in 2 years. I would count this as a success.
I got my photography more published than before. I have a place to leave my thoughts about photography and I can span all the topics that I am working on.
I love blogging and I took the bait and went to a daily posting routine about one and a half years ago. I am eager to keep this up while I try not to let my blog get too uniform and too boring.
I am changing up the topics a bit here and there, from contest entries to trips. From landscape to street. To portrait. To city. To animal.
There are topics I do photograph - like weddings and babies or toddlers - that I do not publish and post for reasons of privacy.
I love being a hobby photographer, so that I can chose my topics just as I like and that I can keep this blog nicely fresh and my interest in photography awake. I do not need to submit to selling or customer's wishes. Of course, taking photography as hobby, limits the time and money you can put into the photography itself, the gear and the traveling.
The blog got me confident in showing my photography not just in limited circles but also for a wider audience. The pretty much world wide attention my posts got, was really overwhelming.
I now have a facebook page Trans Pond on Facebook and I do sell calendars of my pictures. This all keeps me going on the hobby and it keeps me getting better.
What would I wish for for the future?
I want to keep this up and running. I want to embark on new projects and topics. I want to learn more about all the details of the trade and all the styles I set my foot on.
I would like to keep entertaining you. I would like to keep the "one post a day" minimum up for the future - believe me: sometimes it's hard!
I would like to progress in photography. I would like to travel a lot and get to phantastic locations.
I would also like to hear what you are thinking. And I would like to receive comments to my posts a little more often.
For now I will post a long, long list of photos from the last few years. All across the pallet of topics. Check them out to enjoy.
Thanks for sharing the ride, here! It's been fun and we will keep going, allright?

Week 2 is online
The project is running.
Since the beginning we have posted a few things now. It is a 52 week project. And yet we are posting more than that. Not necessarily in the same pattern, but we are giving you in-between posts a lot in the coming year.
So, please, if you want to be up to date: Come and check out the project blog regulary and at least every sunday morning.
Today is sunday of week 2.
Harrison is presenting you a photo story this week instead of a single picture. Maybe that is along the lines you like? How will things progress? What will happen next? Where is he climbing to?

Come To Life - Update
Hi!
As you have seen, we kicked of "Come To Life 2013" on January 1st.
Sunday of last week brought the first project photos and we are happy to say that we are busy behind the scenes. Still plotting new ideas and refining the scheme as well as working on accessories and photo scenes.
Are you curious what goes on behind the scenes when we shoot our photos?
Heinrich is starting out with a spectatular first "Making Of" - a video sped up to show you how he set fire for Tony to endure in his Week 1 photo.
Another thrilling news: We now have a real domain for the project: No longer is the "blogspot" necessary in the address. Just go to www.ctl2013.de and check things out.
The direct link to the making of is here: FIRE.
Hallo!
Wie Ihr gesehen habt, haben wir Come To Life 2013 am 1. Januar gestartet.

Come to Life
The year has just begun and I am starting out on a new project. It is a project 52 - one photo per week. But I am not in it alone.
We are 7 photographers and 7 action characters. And we will bring you one photo per week for each team. We are posting on Sundays so make sure to check out the show.
Our introduction is online already - with German introduction texts for now - and you can see all the participants... almost. There is a post with project information in English already so be sure to come by.
