Ich halte dort einen Vortrag im Pecha Kucha Stil. Was das ist? Ihr müsst schon vorbeikommen, wenn Ihr das erfahren wollt. Falls es ein Video gibt, werde ich den Link natürlich teilen.
Als besonderes PAPERmini für heute habe ich mir meine Homage an Edward Hoppers Nighthawks ausgesucht. Im Gegensatz zu Hopper habe ich den Betrachter von außen mit ins Bild genommen.

I am given the chance today to present the PAPERminis at a large event. It is Adobe Create Now in Düsseldorf.
I will be holding a speach in Pecha Kucha style. What's that? Well, you will have to check in to find out about that. If there is a video later on I will, of course, link to that.
As a special PAPERmini for today I chose my homage to Edward Hopper's Nighthawks. In contrast to Hopper I placed a viewer outside the diner.

This installation in a can of fish is somewhat contradictory. The can had contained Rügenfisch, therefore refering to a baltic sea island and preserved fish. The sign on the building says that there is fresh fish from the north sea sold. So is this contradiction made on purpose or did it just happen? Anyways I thought the model building was really cute in presentation.

We spend the afternoon at the Intermodellbau in Dortmund. Everything from steam locomotion to laser cutting and 3D printing. From bi-planes to camera drones.
I had a field day, checking out the displays, all the H0 scale people objects and all the models of boats, plains, spaceships and so on.
I shot a lot of images for my sketches and my project. Lots of angles and motives.

is broken. Good that some of the guys get there for repairs.

We have started a series of H0-projects over on Come to Life.
My personal H0 project is the PAPERminis project. PAPERminis is really differnet from other H0 projects I have come by.
That does not keep me from doing other photos with H0 figures. Here is one I wanted to show you over here.

Mein persönliches H0-Projekt sind die PAPERminis. PAPERminis sind ganz anders als die anderen H0 Bilder, die mir begegnet sind.
Das hält mich aber nicht davon ab, auch andere H0 Bilder zu machen und Euch hier zu zeigen.

will be time until summer. Most sailboats are still safely put away, as
are the bikinis and swim shorts. But let me invite you to a virtual
boat ride.

der Sommer kommt, dauert es noch eine Weile. Die meisten Segelboote
sind noch sicher verstaut, genau wie die Bikinis und Badehosen. Aber

Meine
H0-Bilder werde ich unter dem Titel "PAPERminis" erstellen. Die
Hintergründe/Untergründe/Welten sind gezeichnet und gemalt. Die Figuren
spielen damit die Hauptrolle in einer Welt aus Papier.
Meine Materialien werden dabei abwechseln und mal arbeite ich in Farbe, mal monochrom.
Ich
habe schon ein wenig vorgearbeitet und eine ganze Serie von Zeichnungen
und Skizzen erstellt, die ich jetzt nach und nach mit Figuren-Leben
fülle und zeigen werde.
My
H0-images will be presented under the title "PAPERminis". The
backgrounds/"undergrounds"/"worlds" are sketched and painted. The
figures therefore play the lead roll in a world made of paper.
My materials will differ and I will work in color as well as in monochrome.
I
have pre-worked a little and created a series of sketches and images
that I will fill with life by and by now and bring to you.
