In the lagoon bay of Hvalnes Nature Reserve you can see the gigantic gathering of tens of thousands of whooper swans before they migrate. We did read about this, but in the middle of August we did not expect them to be there already - also since we had seen swans - partially with their youngs - all over the country in the previous two weeks.
But then the fog lifted a bit and here they are. There were thousands of them.
