In Isafjördur in the Westfjords of Iceland we have visited the Local History Museum more than once now. But at one visit, there was a group of locals in traditional outfits and was presenting former life and more or less hanging out acting "normal" there.
Here is an overview of my photos from that day.
Life as fishermen and sea shore life are the topics of that museum in general. But also music, bird egg collecting and items of furniture and objects complete the museum.
Wir waren schon ein paar Mal im Lokalmuseum in Isafjördur in den Westfjorden, Island.
Bei einem der Besuche war eine Gruppe lokaler Erwachsener und Kinder dort, die in historischen Kostümen und Trachten auftraten und Alltagssituationen und ähnliches darstellten und letztlich einfach dort den Tag verbrachten.
Das Museum hat als Thema vor allem das Leben in Ísafjördur und Fischerei sowie lokale Gewohnheiten zum Thema.
Im Inneren findet man viel zum Thema Seefahrt, Fischerei, Musik, Möbelstücke und beispielsweise Vogelei-Sammeln.
