Myvatn Nature Bath, 2008

We stayed at the vulcanic and geothermal area of lake Myvatn in northern Iceland for a day. The stormy and partially rainy evening we spent in the Myvatn Nature Bath and just could not resist to get the camera out.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise durch das vulkanisch und geothermal aktive Gebiet des Myvatn in Nord Island. Der Abend war kühl, stürmisch und regnerisch und wir haben ihn im Myvatn Nature Bath verbracht. Die Kamera konnten wir dann doch nicht im Spind lassen.

Having a coffee or a cocktail at Hotel Borg is quite the experience! Dinner is great there, too. I highly recommend to go there!

Das Hotel Borg in Reykjavík ist einen Besuch wert. Zumindest auf einen Cocktail oder einen Kaffee sollte man die Atmosphere genießen. Das Essen ist auch sehr zu empfehlen!

Winter Picture



Winter Fog

This was the foggiest day I ever saw in Hamm. This picutre is one of a series of pictures I took near the canal and the river (Lippe). I feels cold to look at.

Das war der nebeligste Tag, den ich in Hamm je gesehen habe. Diese Bilder habe ich nahe am Kanal und der Lippe gemacht. Sie gehören zu einer ganzen Serie von Bildern. Mir wird immer noch kalt, wenn ich die Bilder ansehe.

The pictures are HDR photography which the illuminated buildings are ideal for.

Diese Bilder habe ich im März 2010 in Berlin gemacht. Alle Bilder in diesem Post sind HDR-Aufnahmen, für die sich die angestrahlten Gebäude besonders eignen.

One of the rare occasions that there is not a crowd infront of the Brandenburger Tor due to a film making and the cold. I used it to set up the tripod.



Wegen Filmaufnahmen und der Kälte war vor dem Brandenburger Tor ausnahmsweise nicht viel los. Ich konnte also in Ruhe mein Stativ aufbauen.

The line was short due to the late hour. And it was cold, really.

Kurz vor Einlassschluss und wegen der Kälte war die Schlange für die Kuppel recht kurz.

The picture is taken through the outside windows of the house of parlametarians. The reflections of the glas are not so distracting.

Diese Bilder habe ich durch die Glasscheiben des Abgeordnetenhauses gemacht. Die Reflektionen fallen hier nicht sehr ins Gewicht.



Regierungsbezirk, Berlin, March 2010, HDR




The building across the water is a highlight for a photo tour. I liked it as an HDR.


Das Regierungsgebäude über das Wasser fotografiert ist sicher das Highlight vieler Foto-Touren. Als HDR gefällt es mir gut.



Vortex, Reichstag, Berlin, March 2010, HDR


Inside the dome of the Reichstag you can look from the top of the roof into the parliament hall. The vortex brings natural light into the room in the day.




Innerhalb der Kuppel des Reichstags kann man durch das Dach in den Plenarsaal sehen. Aus der Höhe und mit dem Trichter, der für die Beleuchtung mit Tageslicht sorgt, ergab das für mich ein interessantes Bild.
